Cuando el invierno llega antes de lo que te esperas, lugares bonitos y coloridos pueden transformarse a ojos vista y convertirse en casas encantadas en el medio del bosque donde cualquier sueño o pesadilla podría estar a la vuelta de la esquina.

O tal vez sea la manera que éstas construcciones tienen de recordar para lo que fueron construídas, para ver y ser vistas, para gritar alto y claro que ellas y sólo ellas dominan toda la ciudad que hay justo debajo...

O igual es, simplemente, un museo.

When the winter arrives before you expect it, certain pretty and colorful places may appear to he bare eye as haunted houses in the woods, where every dream or nightmare may come true any given minute.

Maybe that's how these buildings remind us what they were built for, to see and to be seen, to claim loud and proud that them and them only dominate the whole tow below...

Or... or maybe it's just a museum.

My 5 Cents

Nunca he visto nada igual. Pides un café, y si cuando te lo acabas quieres otro, llevas tu taza y no sólo no te cobran la segunda taza, ¡sino que te devuelven 5 céntimos!. El truco es que en éste sitio hacen unos bollos (una cosa típica de Finlandia que se llama "pulla" y que no sé como traducir) tan buenos que cada vez que pides un café vas a acabar pidiendo un bollo de esos. Y si hace un día fresco pero soleado como el que tuvimos, vas a hacer gran parte de la mañana sentado allí, en la orilla del mar, viendo el tiempo pasar en buena compañía.

I've never seen anything like this. You get a coffe, and if you want a refill you just take the mug to the counter, and get a refill. And 5 cents back to your pocket! The catch is that here they have such good coffee buns (pulla in finnish, can't think of a better translation) that everytime you get a refill, you will buy one of those. And on a brisk sunny day like that, the best you can do is sit there, by the sea, just watching he morning go by, in good company.

Mushrooms

Simplemente, recuperar placeres olvidados, un paseo por el bosque en las primeras horas del dia cuando la nebla y la humedad aun no se han disuelto, y recoger setas y bayas para el invierno. Todo a dos minutos de casa.
