No es una excepcion ni una rareza, la construccion mas significativa de este lugar esta hecha de madera. Como la mayor parte de las casas de los alrededores. E incluso muchas en las ciudades. Y, al contrario que otras construcciones de otros paises con materiales mas reputados, aqui no hay una sola casa que sea fria, o que no este convenientemente protegida o aislada.

Y las saunas, esas no pueden ser de otra cosa que no sea madera.

This is no exception or rarity, the most significative bulding here is made entirely of wood. Just like most of the houses around it. Or several buildings in larger cities. And, contrary to some more reputated building materials used in other countries, no house here is inadequately insulated, or cold.

No wonder saunas are made of wood, and wood only.

Red Light

En la gran ciudad, las luces rojas se asocian a lugares de dudosa reputacion y de impresentable clientela. Curiosamente, dejando la ciudad atras, las luces rojas pertenecen a uno de los ultimos atardeceres largos del otoño, con sus hojas oscurecidas ya, y sus bayas.

Esta luz si se apaga por las noches.

In larger cities, red lights are usually part of dodgy places with shady customers. But leaving the city behind, red lights belong to the few last long evenings of the autumn, withturned leaves and red berries.

Hace algo de frio, los dias son mas cortos ya, la luz es tenue y los arboles pierden las hojas que tuvieron durante los meses anteriores. Ademas, a un lugar como este, todo ello llega con varias semanas de adelanto. Y ya sabemos que no es reversible.

Es el Otoño, y cuando es asi no me creo que a alguien no le pueda gustar.

Y la proxima vez que vaya alli, sera para quedarme.

It's colder, days are shorter, the daylight is dimmer and the trees have already turned and lost most of the leaves they had had the previous months. And in a place like that, this happens a few weeks before we would have expected it. And it's not turning back.

Fall. It's impossible not to like sights like this.

And next time I'm over there, I'm staying.
